ICBE Begin Again™ | Ireland's work-placement, mentoring and training programme
FAQ
- Applicants must be registered with Social Welfare for the 3 months prior to commencement of the programme.
- Applicants participating in the ICBE Begin Again™ programme may qualify to retain their Social Welfare payments for as long as they would normally be eligible to receive such payments from the Department of Social Protection.
- Host companies, of any size, including Sole Traders, can accept placements. There are no restrictions on the number of placements that a host company can have.
- Local Authorities and any other State Body where recruiting embargos exist ARE NOT eligible as host companies.
- Applicants who currently work a 3 day week ARE NOT eligible for the programme.
- Host companies are required to have the requisite insurances in place.
- Host companies and participants will be required to a sign a contract addressing Confidentiality, Intellectual Property etc.
- Placements are for a minimum of 3 days per week for the duration of the programme.
- The participant can leave the programme immediately on securing employment elsewhere. Provisions for handover of information to the host company should be made.
- The host company, participant and mentor will agree on a suitable project for the placement. This may be adapted or changed should other needs arise.
- The participant and the host company have the right to end the placement at any stage in consultation with the mentor, an alternative participant may be found if appropriate.
